I need a little favour. If you've got a paid account here and wouldn't mind taking a couple of minutes to set up a feed for me (it's easy, and I can give instructions), would you leave me a comment? Thanks! (Will pay in icons - just tell me what you want).

Also, sorry if anyone got their flist inundated the other day when I was backing up my LJ here - I set it all to backdate, but I know some old entries showed up on at least one flist. Eeek!

	Yay, thank you! You need to go to this page: http://www.insanejournal.net/syn/, scroll to the bottom, put this url http://del.icio.us/oxoniensis in the box at the bottom, click on 'add feed' and then, when it prompts for a name, call it oxoniensis_recs. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I gave you the wrong url - it's insanejournal.com, not insanejournal.net - sorry! I guess you must have sussed that out though.

I can't work out if it's worked or not - it says it's syndicated from oxoniensis_recs, which doesn't make sense as it should be syndicated from del.icio.us/oxoniensis, but I'll wait and see if it updates - hopefully it should be all good!

It's my fault - the url I gave you wasn't the correct one to use. It should have been the feed for that page, not the page itself. Gah, I'm an idiot!

And call it oxoniensis_rss seeing as I've gone and messed up my first choice name.

Someone else has already set it up - if you look on the profile page, it was created on the 4th. Darn, I wish they hadn't done that, because now I'm stuck with that name, so have got all different names on the different journals. Grrr.

But thank you for trying it for me - I wouldn't have found the feed otherwise! And at least it's working, so that's the important thing. :-)

First thing that made me notice was that 3 people had it friended, which would have been pretty fast if you'd just created it!! And then I spotted the date and had my little lightbulb moment.

(BTW, now you know how to do it, it's possible that I might be coming back to you to do one more - I want to run something past some community mods, and if they agree with my idea, I'll be pestering you!)
